The Nuns kick off 2025 with a home game against Dudley Kingswinford tomorrow and they will be looking to improve on their last showing of 2024 when they went down 30-28 to Derby. It was a showing that had positives and work on’s a plenty, bonus points from four tries and losing within 7 points but too many errors and some poor decisions let the hosts back in. When the Nuns travelled to Dudley earlier in the season they came away with a 45-27 victory in one of the best performances of the season so far and they know they will need to match this again this weekend if they want a similar result. DK come into the game on the back of a defeat to Syston 13-19 last round.
After 13 games each the Nuns currently sit in 8th with 33 points from 5 wins and 13 bonus points and Dudley are in 10th with 22 points from 4 wins and 5 bonus points.
The Saxons will be looking to complete their first double of the season as they travel over to Old Salts for their first game in 3 weeks. When the two sides met earlier in the season it was the Saxons who came out on top with their first win of the season 43-19. The Saxons remain in 9th with 16 points from 3 wins, a draw and two bonus points. Old Salts have -11 points from a draw and 2 bonus point but have conceded 3 games, they sit 11th in the league.
The Saracens and Colts have no games this weekend. In their last game the Saracens went down 38-33 at Old Coventrians.
Team news: Louis Addleton and Ben Dawes return in the front row, Ben Haywood moves into the back row for Martin Wood and James Moreton starts in the second row.
Just one change in the backline this week with Ryan Preston returning in the centre for Harry Beverley who is unavailable.
Dave Darker, Arron Skyrme and Mike Volaikisuva make up the bench.
