The Nuns round off league rugby for 2024 with a trip to Derby tomorrow on the back of a good win last week over Burton and also looking to do the double over the hosts. When the two sides met earlier in the season the Nuns were 33-13 winners, which was the first victory of the season. As the season has progressed the Nuns currently sit in 7th with 5 wins from 12 games and 31 points, Derby are in 11th with 2 wins from 10 games and 13 points. Last weekend, the Nuns picked up a 31-27 victory over Burton and can be pleased with the way they came back to take the win but must also worked hard on a few areas to not give the opposition any advantage. Derby went down 64-7 to league leaders Syston last round.
The Saxons have a free weekend due to the odd number of teams in the league. Last weekend they lost out 48-12 to Hinckley to leave them 9th in the league heading into the New Year. With some rested bodies and hopefully some players returning from injury they will be looking to pick up again and hunt the teams above them down.
The Saracens take on Old Coventrians tonight and Colts have a rest this weekend.
Team news: Zeb Gibson and Ryan Marsh come into the pack for Louis Addleton (concussion) and Ben Dawes (unavailable).
Ryan Preston is unavailable and so Harry Beverley and Travis Bennett-Allcock line up in the centre with Tak Chawadya coming in on the wing.
Dave Darker, James Moreton and Mike Volaikisuva make up the bench.
